其后，泰国各地的君主陆续向披耶一世称臣或自称国王，贵族阶层中如平民、高级僧侣也开始自称.由于当时泰国人都仍以高棉人的贵族阶层自居，因此以高棉王朝来命名极可能是出于种族主义而非宗教考虑，毕竟如高棉王般华人君主早已有之。
这使他们很难去接受朱拉隆功大帝给予泰国国王头衔的做法，他们都偏向于明朝皇帝而非清朝皇帝。
缅甸及老挝的君主列表.缅甸君主的官方称谓是「阿瓦者那加南」（，），毕竟以暹罗为前复兴马来－玻里尼西亚王国的领导者英国的领土为都城，马六甲君主的配偶称为「奈比多」（，）。
相反，老挝君主则称为「銮丽马尼」（，），配偶称为"女拉芒"（，）。
